The Phantom is a powerful Emblem Heartless. However, after a long and violent battle, the Phantom ended up defeated by Sora and his friends.
As they were flying to the Clock Tower to search for this ghastly creature, the Phantom appeared out of nowhere and attacked them. She tells them, through Peter Pan, about a strange creature that she saw near the Clock Tower, and she leads them back to the Tower. Tinker Bell discovered the Phantom there, and flew back to the Cabin of Captain Hook's ship, where she manages to find Sora, his friends, and Peter Pan. It decided to go straight towards the Clock Tower near Neverland, where it decides to possess and curse the Tower for unknown reasons. The Phantom emerged from the Final Keyhole after it was opened by the Princesses of Heart. The Phantom's name is a reference to its eerie, ghost-like appearance. In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, the Phantom is largely unchanged, though its cloak is now predominantly white with black sleeves decorated by a flame-like pattern. The Heartless emblem is displayed on its back. The orb can also disappear entirely for short periods of time. This orb glows in a different color-red, blue, yellow, and white-depending on the type of attack it is currently vulnerable to. The apparent source of its power is an orb that contains its heart in the lower section of the cloak. Only its own clawed, five-fingered hands are visible, but even they seem to be wrapped in the cloak. It has a long, pointed hood and it does not seem to have a face or body of any kind. The Phantom reveals his heart again and you restart the process.īasically three spells/attacks > dodge his swipe attack > three spells/attacks > move to safety and cast stop > repeatĪlso equip Donald and Peter with a bunch of ethers, and remove any abilities that use MP, except for Goofy's MP gift of course. The Phantom is an Emblem Heartless that appeared as a long, tattered, black cloak with long sleeves that gradiates into a light aqua color from the waist down. During this time, just go to one of the other sides of the clock and the attack wont hit you - this is also the perfect time to recast stop on the clock tower. Now he'll position himself infront of the clock tower, charge up, and shoot a homing attack at you. Then he'll get some distance and come and swing at you (hold square to descend and you'll avoid it everytime. He'll reveal his heart and you hit him 3 times depending on the color of the heart (Red for fire, blue for blizzard, yellow for thunder, and white for physical). He cast doom on Peter Pan and you cast stop on the clock. I posted this small little guide on another status and it helped some people so here it is :) If you don't want to use your MP on it, set Peter Pan to use Defensive Skills Often, and push everything else back to Frequently or lower.Īs long as you keep stop up on the clock you can beat him as low as level 50, just be careful. Make sure you stay close enough to him after dodging his claw swipe to hit him with Fire or Blizzard, it can be really easy to miss with these if you aren't careful.Īero isn't necessary by any means, but it does help a lot, especially if you are under 70 (generally considered "underleveled" for this fight, though level is less important than MP). EDIT: For an appropriate strategy utilizing Donald, view /u/Brohamthewise's comment below.
Three extra MP when you need them is much better IMO, plus Evolution can be handy if you're underleveled like I was. Sure, Donald can use magic and deal more damage to it, but it's rare he uses the right one and you have no control over it. There is no "if" you switch Donald out for Peter Pan, you almost HAVE to because MP Gift is king in this fight. When Phantom floats in front of the clock and starts working up a spell, quickly fly around the corner of the clock and use the wall as a shield. This fight will take some time, so make sure you keep Stop cast on the clock and heal often with potions UNLESS you have the extra MP to cast Cure. When Phantom's heart is Red: Cast Fire, Blue: Cast Blizzard, Yellow: Cast Thunder, White: Use physical attacks. If you don't, the timer above your friend's head counts down and once it hits 0 they are out for the rest of the fight. Target and cast STOP on the clock hands immediately after the fight starts and once again every 30 seconds or so. Make sure you have MP Rage equipped, and if you switch Donald out for Peter Pan, make sure Goofy has MP Rage and MP Gift equipped. You'll want to save magic for attacks, NOT healing. I just barely best him yesterday and it was very difficult, even on standard.Įquip Sora with Ethers or Elixirs and High Potions.
